Calgary Bar AV Installation
A new Calgary bar needed permanent sound and lighting to support regular service, private events, comedy, live music, DJs and weekend programming.

The starting point
Project context and challenge
The space needed to shift between operating modes while giving the bar, seating area and stage independent audio control.
Designed for the facility
System approach and installed scope
The permanent installation included stage sound, background-music loudspeakers, wireless microphones, XR18 mixing, dbx PA2 processing, zoned amplification, sixteen moving-head fixtures and four spotlights.
Putting the system into service
Installation and commissioning
An overseas shipment delayed permanent lighting beyond opening. Temporary lighting was sourced locally for opening weekend, then the permanent fixtures were installed later. This was a project contingency, not an Easy Audio Visual rental service.
Prepared for daily operation
Training and handover
The owner and technician were trained in operation, common troubleshooting and configured controls and presets. Supporting documentation was provided.
What project observers reported
Evidence-supported outcome
The owner reported clear sound, good coverage, easy operation and the ability to change the atmosphere for different uses. These are qualitative observations.
