Edmonton Church AV Modernization
An Edmonton church modernized an approximately 13-year-old system with an LED video wall, rigged loudspeakers and updated stage lighting while retaining suitable existing equipment.

The starting point
Project context and challenge
The projector had display problems, one loudspeaker had intermittent sound, and the church wanted a more practical system for normal services.
Designed for the facility
System approach and installed scope
The integrated scope included a 2.5 mm LED video wall with NovaStar VX600 processing, four Yorkville EF15P loudspeakers with dbx PA2 processing, and updated stage/front lighting.
Ten existing PAR fixtures and one 18-inch subwoofer were retained after assessment because they remained compatible with the new system.
Putting the system into service
Installation and commissioning
The loudspeakers were moved to overhead rigging to free stage space. Load details were coordinated with the church’s structural engineer. Audio presets, duplicated PC visuals and lighting controls were configured for normal service use.
Prepared for daily operation
Training and handover
Staff and volunteers were trained to operate the screen, adjust lighting, select audio presets and make basic control adjustments. Supporting documentation was supplied.

Evidence-supported outcome
Project observers reported brighter visuals, improved visibility, clearer sermon speech and easier operation. These qualitative observations do not represent measured performance.
